  12. This is a mail notification program which places AppIcons
  13. on the Workbench. These AppIcons then change state in
  14. response to the changes in filesize of the files
  15. that you specify that the program should watch.
  16.  
  17. Reasons to use it:
  18.  
  19.     Implemented as a commodity.
  20.  
  21.     Can watch one file or millions (well, I've only
  22.     tested it up to 16 at the moment, but there are
  23.     no program-imposed limits).
  24.  
  25.     Has a preferences program, to configure the
  26.     attributes for the AppIcons that it shows.
  27.  
  28.     Can also run programs or scripts when the state
  29.     of the mailfiles change.
  30.  
  31.     Can start programs via the CLI or Workbench, using
  32.     wbstart.library on OS 3.x systems, or
  33.     WBStart-Handler on OS 2.x systems.
  34.  
  35.     Quits if run twice (in good AUISG style, unlike
  36.     Sabot).
  37.  
  38.     Free - well, actually it's MailWare.

  44.                 * Bug fix to the preferences program: if you
  45.                   used a custom font, it wasn't freed.
  46.                 * Broke up documentation into separate
  47.                   parts (kinder for people with less memory...
  48.                   explanation of preferences is graphics-heavy).
  49.                 * Reduced size of both MailWatch & MailWatchPrefs
  50.                   by about 2K.
